THE Stratford Express has been tied in to this area of East London for over 150 years, first established in 1866 and run by the Wilson and Whitworth partnership, from offices above their stationery and leather store in The Broadway, (now covered over by The Mall, Stratford).

Back then there were two councils, West Ham and East Ham respectively, until their amalgamation and immergence of Newham Council in 1964. But the Stratford Express' principles and ideals remain... and are still as strong.
