Jones is new number one for Os

15 July 2010

ORIENT goalkeeper Jamie Jones has been given the number one shirt for the new season.

Jones was one of Orient's star performers last season as he won the goalkeeping battle with Glenn Morris to become the number one choice.

Morris was subsequently released at the end of the campaign and Jones has been given the number one jersey for the first time.

New keeper Lee Butcher has been given the number 12.

With nine new summer signings, it's a much-changed squad list this season.

Midfielder Stephen Dawson takes the number eight shirt, worn by Adam Chambers last term, who will now wear number 10.

Latest arrival Matthew Spring will have the number 16 shirt, while new central defenders Aaron Brown and Terrell Forbes have been handed the five and six shirts respectively, vacated by Tamika Mkandawire and Luke Ashworth.

While Elliot Omozusi, will have the number two shirt following the departure of skipper Stephen Purches.

Former Brighton winger Dean Cox takes the seven shirt, while new professional Jake Argent will wear 21. Fellow graduates from the scholarship ranks, Harry Beautyman and Josh Millwood wear 22 and 23 respectively.

The number three shirt remains spare.

The full list is as follows: 1 Jamie Jones, 2 Elliot Omozusi, 4 Ben Chorley, 5 Aaron Brown, 6 Terrell Forbes, 7 Dean Cox, 8 Stephen Dawson, 9 Scott McGleish, 10 Adam Chambers, 11 Alex Revell, 12 Lee Butcher, 13 Charlie Daniels, 14 Ryan Jarvis, 15 George Porter, 16 Matt Spring, 17 Adrian Patulea, 18 Jonathan Tehoue, 19 Cestor Mike, 20 Jimmy Smith, 21 Jake Argent, 22 Harry Beautyman, 23 Josh Millwood.
