Six people evacuated by firefighters in Manor Park blaze

TWO women and four men were rescued by 20 firefighters from a burning house in Strone Road, Manor Park yesterday.

Four crews from Stratford, East Ham, Leytonstone and Ilford stations tackled the blaze wearing breathing apparatus at 4pm.

The fire left the building's ground floor and roof partly damaged.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
