St Modwen pull out of Queens Market

26 July 2010
QUEENS Market will revert back to council control after developers pulled out of a £125million regeneration project for the Upton Park site on Friday.

St Modwen said it decided to withdraw after the council was unwilling to extend the projects' deadline to 2014.

The Council has said it now plans to "take stock and find a developer who can bring continued success to the market".
