Police launch fresh appeal

POLICE have issued a special appeal to Newham Recorder readers over the murder of Stephen Lewis.

They have published a new poster asking if anyone who knows who killed Stephen to get in touch.

Murder hunt officers have also engaged in new technology using our website and email as they urgently want to hear from anyone who knows what happened or who may have information.

A senior officer said: "Anyone who is worried about coming forward is asked to phone us so we can offer practical help and support."

"We have seen that people are using the Recorder's website to leave tributes to the young man and want to ask them to contact us by email," said Det Sgt Peter North.
